We are excited to share that the PICAC Geelong campus was officially opened last week. Our second training campus with PICAC, the Geelong campus continues the high standards for industry education facilities set at the PICAC Brunswick campus.
The Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews, the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Robert Doyle, and Geelong local member Christine Couzens, joined key leaders from across the industry at the official opening.
PICAC Geelong offers highly specialised trade and post-trade training for workers in the plumbing industry, ensuring workers have the skills needed to deliver the next generation of sustainable and water efficient buildings.
From water reuse methods and installing water efficient products to solar water heating and embracing new technologies, PICAC Geelong will give Geelong’s plumbers the world class skills they need for the jobs of the future. The center will also play its part in retraining retrenched automotive and supply chain workers, and allow them access to the growing number of jobs in the construction sector.
Congratulations to PICAC, and to the FMSA project team led by Principal Peter Sandow.
