The Stage 2 works designed by FMSA in 2011 includes provisions for administration support services; this level two fire fighting facility is strategically sited as in response to its important role servicing the local and visiting community. Parks Victoria also uses the Depot as the base for managing all surrounding areas of national parkland, camping grounds and walking tracks.
The newly constructed vehicle shed provides a substantial catchment for stormwater, stored in a 50,000 litre tank and used for landscape irrigation and fire-fighting. The depot is used by a number of trucks and people in the industry.
