FMSA has been able to work successfully with complex project teams and has developed an understanding of the priorities and protocols in designing and delivering public projects. Using a workshop methodology, FMSA has established a process of consultation with multiple client representatives and public interest groups where required, to ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are recorded and analysed. Issues such as the expression of community standards and aspirations and the interface between government delivery of services with the public, need to be clearly understood and expressed in both the planning and design aesthetic. FMSA is committed to the full integration of ESD Principles into the built environment. This translates to long term cost savings to the client. Specifically these applications would include on-site waste water management, solar energy systems, use of ‘green’ alternatives to traditional building materials and finishes, building orientation and shape to capitalise solar gain, thermal efficiency through insulation, glazing and shading. FMSA is a team player and appreciates the input of an independent project manager acting for the client. We give priority to controlling budget and program targets and to producing high quality, architecturally stimulating outcomes within these parameters.
