Limited leisure time in our hectic society is
greatly valued and recreational facilities are becoming increasingly
sophisticated. The expectation is that efficient, high quality facilities,
which are aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible,
will be provided to enhance the recreational experience.
FMSA directors and staff are active participants
on snow, land and water. Having experience as end users they are
able to apply practical knowledge to their projects. FMSA offers
ideal solutions for viable developments in a range of contexts.
Techniques for environmentally sustainable development
have been implemented so that tourist and recreation facilities
designed and constructed by FMSA respond to stringent ESD standards.
Projects illustrating great results for the operators and their
visitors include the Punters Vineyard Retreat in the Terra Rossa
plains of the Coonawarra, La Campagna Winery on the Mornington
Peninsula and the Piermont Resort overlooking Great Oyster Bay
and the rugged Freycinet Peninsula on Tasmania’s East coast.
FMSA has also undertaken major Alpine resort projects
including the Hotham Heights Alpine Village, the Karoondah Apartments,
the Big D complex, restaurant and bar facilities and Swindlers restaurant
and bar. Hotham Heights Airport was also an FMSA project.
FMSA received the RAIA 2001 merit award in the
commercial category for Punters Vineyard Retreat and the Tasmanian
Tourism award for Unique Accommodation with Piermont Resort. |
